5/2/2024 |  WNBA to adjust challenge and timeout rules for 2024 (Reuters Sports) May 2 - The WNBA will usher in a pair of rule changes for the 2024 season, revising the replay challenge format while also eliminating 20-second timeouts.
Teams will be awarded a second coach's challenge if the first one was successful. In a continuation of the previous rule, teams still will need to have a timeout in order to initiate a replay challenge.

Sixers star Joel Embiid voiced his displeasure following Game 4 at the Wells Fargo Center, when boisterous Knicks fans cheered their team's 97-92 comeback victory on Sunday.
"Disappointing," Embiid said after New York seized a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference first-round series. "I love our fans. Think it's unfortunate, and I'm not calling them out, but it is disappointing. Obviously, you got a lot of Knicks fans, and they're down the road."
5/2/2024 |  76ers owners buy more than 2,000 playoff tickets to reduce Knicks fans (United Press International (UPI)) May 2 (UPI) -- Members of the Philadelphia 76ers ownership group bought more than 2,000 tickets for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series to reduce New York Knicks fans, co-owner Michael Rubin said Thursday.
Rubin made the announcement on Instagram and X. Co-owners Josh Harris, David Blitzer and David Adelman joined in on the effort. The 76ers will host the Knicks in Game 6 on Thursday in Philadelphia.

(AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that a former Milwaukee police officer was properly fired for posting racist memes related to the arrest of an NBA player that triggered a public outcry.
Officer Erik Andrade was involved in the 2018 arrest of Sterling Brown, who then played for the Milwaukee Bucks.
