Financing
The $215 million stadium was financed with a 0.1% sales tax on Denver-area residents to support bonds sold by the Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District. The team invested $53 million. The district has been enlarged and the tax extended to help fund a new Venue for the Denver Broncos. Pct. public: 75

Coors Field is located in a 25-square-block historic district in Denver known as lower downtown. The field is built on the Denver Union Railroad Depot, which opened in 1876.
Designed by HOK to simulate an old-fashioned ballpark, the facility offers a view of the Rocky Mountains past its left field fence and two huge murals created by local artists. It was built at a cost of $215 million, paid for with a sales tax increase and a $15 million contribution from the Coors family. The party suites hold up to 53 people and price is based on a per-ticket charge, which varies.
The stadium includes the Mountain Ranch Club, a patio and dining room that costs $2,000 per year for membership. The Front Range Bar & Grill provides a more affordable Venue at $500 per year.
Picnic areas host groups of 50 to 500 at $29 per person, including food. The Warning Track Party room can handle crowds of 50 to 80 for $63 per person. (Facilities, Financial, MLBTeamNat, Professional Sports, Venue)
