Built at a cost of CAN$570 million in 1989, the Skydome incorporates three venues into one, including an open-air facility, a domed stadium and the more intimate (10,000 - 30,000 seat) "Skybowl" Venue created by an acoustical curtain system called Skytent.
In addition to a new field, in 2005 the Venue got six new high-resolution display screens, including a replacement for the massive JumboTron in center field. The screens will provide detailed scores and updates from out-of-town games as well as details on pitch count, pitch speed and pitch type on every play.
The team has also create new “In The Action” seats near field level and has priced them at $16,200 per season.
The team created a new ticket class in 2003 called the Toronto Star Season Ticket. The sponsored pass cost $81 for an upper deck seat. (Facilities, Financial, MLBTeamAmer, Professional Sports, Venue)
