Financing
The $28 million ballpark was funded through a public-private partnership that included the State of Florida, Pinellas County, the City of Clearwater and the Phillies, who will be responsible for any cost overruns. The team invested $4.5 million. Pct. public: 84
The new ballpark for the Threshers is also the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The state-of-the-art ballpark features wide concourses, a sloping berm grass seating in the outfield and approximately 7,000 fixed seats.
The Phillies signed a 20-year lease on the ballpark. The team invested $4.5 million in the cost and paid for construction cost overruns.
