Financing
The ballpark was privately funded.
In the fall of 2005, the team told fans if they buy 1,800 season tickets, the team will fund a new 4,000 seat ballpark. That effort failed and the team decided to move to Midland, Mich., and a new ballpark in 2007.
Eleven of the 14-seat suites are leased on a seasonal basis at a cost of $25,000 each per year with a five-year commitment. The 12th is available for an evening at a time for $600.
The ballpark features a party deck that rents for $32.50 per person and includes a game ticket and buffet for each guest. It may be rented for groups of 60 to 100. For a big crowd of 500 or more, there's a picnic area just past third base. A ticket and an all-you-can-eat buffet costs $22 a person. The lobby, with its fireplace surrounded by couches, also will be large enough to handle a special function. (Baseball. Facilities, Financial, MinorTeam, Professional Sports, Venue)
