Luxury Suites

Expansion work on Five County Stadium was approved by the city and county in 1997, but the work didn't take place until after the 1998 season. The expansion added another 1,000 seats to the ballpark, 12 luxury suites and team offices. Team owner Steve Bryant added an additional $750,000 to the $15 million project. The city paid $10 million and Wake County made up the remainder. The work was completed in 2000.
