In 2006, the Stars signed a new five-year lease that included $1 million in upgrades to the ballpark.
The lease calls for the team to pay $10,000 a year to use the Venue and it will be responsible for some operating costs. The upgrades will be primarily to lighting to bring the Venue up to league standards.
Other items, such as luxury suites, could come in a later round of improvements.
Built in 1985, the venue's picnic area was upgraded from a tent to a more permanent roof in 1999. There are also three party suites which have eight and 12 seats each. They lease for $225 and $325 per game, respectively. (Baseball. Facilities, Financial, MinorTeam, Professional Sports, Venue)
