The team’s $40 million ballpark anchors development in the area that includes a Stadium Entertainment District that with retail, dining and nightlife venues.
The ballpark is expected to generate $7.3 million in ticket sales, concessions and parking. Including lodging, shopping and restaurant business, the total reaches $14 million a year, according to Economics Research Associates.
SK Baseball is owned by Herbert Simon, who owns the NBA Indiana Pacers and a string of shopping malls, including Meadowood Mall in Reno. Nevada Land, the other partner in the project, is controlled by Jerry and Stuart Katzoff, who own the Il Mulino restaurant chain.
