Built in the early 1930s, there are no luxury suites or club seating in the stadium. The team also offers a 20 game ticket pack for $130.
The Single-A Suns have sought a new ballpark for some time and Mandalay officials say they will continue to seek a new venue.
In 1999, Washington County Commissioners agreed to support construction of a new ballpark for the Single-A Hagerstown Suns, but backed away from approving money for the project. Instead, the commissioners voted in favor of an increase in the hotel/motel tax with the money to be used for the ballpark/museum project. The Maryland Legislature must vote to increase the tax and allocate the money to the county. The approval never came and the project died.
Allegheny Energy has indicated interest in buying naming rights to the 72-year-old venue.
