Financing
The city funded the entire $20 million venue. The New Jersey Economic Development Administration issued a $19.3 million bond that is guaranteed by Lakewood. It will be repaid over 10 years with sales tax revenue generated in Lakewood's Urban Enterprise Zone. Pct. public: 100
The team moved to Lakewood for the 2001 season from Fayetteville, N.C., but remains in the South Atlantic League.
You have to love the team's voice mail system. Selection 8 allows you to hear the sound of a person being pinched by a Blue Claw.
Outfield signage runs $6,500 to $8,000 while Tri-Vision signs are $3,500 per position. Video screen/scoreboard signage is priced from $7,000 to $50,000 and playground signs are $7,000. The two entrance signs are $20,000 and dugout signs are $12,500. Section signage costs $9,000.
