Financing
Funded by a mix of hotel/motel tax revenues and Development Authority bonds, the complex was built without cost to Gwinnett taxpayers. Hotel taxes collected over the past 10 years paid the first $25 million of the $88 million dollar expansion project. The debt service on the bond will be paid for by hotel taxes incurred by business travelers to Gwinnett and convention hotel users.
