Riverside Coliseum, home to the WHL Blazers, changed its name in 2000 to reflect a naming rights sale. The price of the sale was not disclosed. Average attendance for games are at capacity, with season tickets, suites and advertising signs sold out and a waiting list in place.
There has been talk of adding a balcony to the facility and extending the current private boxes. The center suite is rented on an event basis and the walls can be opened up to the suite on either side to create a huge party suite. Signage revenue goes to the team for hockey events and to the city for all other events in the coliseum. There are 60 rinkboard signs which sell for $2,200 each and there's a waiting list of advertisers. (Facilities, Financial, Ice Hockey, Professional Sports)
