Up to CAN$800,000 has been budgeted to upgrade the arena and make it more event friendly. Much of the work will have to do with seating and could make the venue a home to a basketball team. Seating around the ice will also be upgraded. Eleven new suites were added for the 2000 season. The suites are leased by the venue.
Signage in the building includes eight- and 12-foot board ads for $2,500 to $2,950. A penalty box ad is $1,250 and 12' X 12' wall banners are $3,000. In-ice logos are $4,000 each. Backlit concourse signs are $3,000.
