A $20 million upgrade was made in 1999. The work improved the building's exterior, added more comfortable seats in the lower level, widened aisles and expanded the lobby. Six hundred new seats were added along with acoustical upgrades. The arena earns nearly $9 million a year of which $2 million to $3 million is profit. The work was funded through arena earnings.
The Rush also offer party platforms for 20 fans at a cost of $1,100. (Facilities, Financial, Ice Hockey, Professional Sports)
