The $39 million, 13,000-seat stadium opened in 2000 and blended the old with the new. The entrance was integrated into an historical warehouse and railbarn which served the old Chesapeake and Ohio railroad system.
Louisville Slugger baseball bat company paid $2 million for lifetime naming rights. The venue is along the banks of the Ohio River.
