Seat licenses
The Founders Club Seats feature a program patterned after the PSL program used by the San Francisco Giants and applies to nearly 15 percent of the ballpark's total seating, or about 1,500 seats. Prices range from $2,000 for Governor's Club seats to $1,000 for the Solon Club section, not including tickets. The license is good for a lifetime, but they are fully transferrable.
Investors succeeded in selling $39.9 million in revenue bonds to build a new ballpark in West Sacramento that opened in 2000 and instantly became one of the jewels of the minor leagues.
The venue is the home of the former Vancouver Canadians who were purchased by Art Savage and River City Baseball. The ballpark opened in May 2000, one month after the Triple-A season began.
The investors' bonds will be repaid with money earned from luxury suites, sponsorships, parking and ticket sales. An average game attendance of 3,000 to 4,000 is needed to break even.
The stadium offers a new 100-square-foot business center sponsored by Pacific Bell. It is one of the few minor league venues to offer such a facility. Pacific Bell will have its own facilities nearby where it can sell portable phones and other services.
The center allows fans to send faxes and check e-mail, use a copier or simply type up a letter using available computers. The service is offered free.
Game-day suites lease for $800 and $2,350 and seat 16 and 50 fans. (Baseball, Facilities, Financial, MinorLeagueVenueReport, Professional Sports)
