The expansion Minnesota Wild took to the ice in its new $135 million arena in 2000 where it pays $6 million a year in rent. The arena is part of a new convention center.
The 18,600-seat venue has a glass exterior with 9,000 seats in its lower bowl. Upper deck seating overhangs the ice, opera-style on the ends. There are 12 suites on the floor of the arena and the rest are on the suite level.
The team will get all the revenue from naming rights. (Facilities, Financial, Ice Hockey, NHL, Professional Sports)
