Erie County will come through with $4 million for upgrades to Uht Park in hopes of keeping the Double-A Sea Wolves from leaving town. Two other communities have been bidding for the franchise.
The money will be used for a new scoreboard and to upgrade the right field area with more seating, a picnic area and a beer garden. The work was complete for the 2006 season.
The money will be included as part of a bond issue that will finance other city projects.
Club boxes holding 8 to 16 persons are available at $96 or $180.
Picnics are available to groups of 25 or more and begin one hour prior to game time. The $15 per person price includes a ticket, hot dogs and your choice of hamburgers, sausages, or chicken sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, pasta salad, or cole slaw, popcorn and soft drinks.
