Financing
The $12 million ballpark included 40 percent from the minor league team with the rest coming new 0.25 percent income tax paying for the construction costs. The owners will pay for the yearly maintenance of the field. The team has a 15-year lease.
The team will pay $50,000 a month to use the ballpark during the baseball season, but will fund maintenance costs for the entire year.
The field will be used by high school teams early in the season. Those games will be complete before the minor league franchise begins play.
