Financing
The venue was privately financed.

Built at a cost of CAN$217 million, Scotiabank Place is home to the NHL Senators. The building was known as the Corel Centre, but the named was changed in 2006 when Scotiabank took over the deal. The company paid a reported CAN$20 million for the rights.
The team handles the signage in one of the more innovative approaches around.
Sandwiched between Montreal and Toronto, it decided to capitalize on its position as Silicon Valley North and dedicate an upper ring only to technology companies. Although it started slowly, missing companies soon got pressure to participate and filled the area. While the venue may not have a lot of high-priced signs, Dan Quinn, manager of corporate properties, says they do more CAN$50,000 deals than anyone else. Those deals include four balloons that hover over the crowd. Food and beverage service at the Palladium is provided by Palladium Catering as well as at the Palladium Club and a bar-type restaurant.
