Financing
The $37 million ballpark was funded primarily by the county, but the state provided $6 million and the Mud Hens invested $7 million. Some of the funding came from luxury suites. The team sold nearly all founders suites where buyers agreed to 10-year leases at a total price of $250,000.
The Mud Hens completed a new $37 million ballpark in the city's downtown warehouse district.
The Hens have increased the number of suites in their new ballpark from 24 to 28 because of demand. The team originally sold 17 suites as part of a Founders Program. The program required a $250,000 payment up front for a 10-year lease. The remaining suites, plus the four new ones, will be sold on 5-year leases at $28,000 per year.
