Financing
Funding included $38 million in bonds and $76 million interest cash on city accounts, fees on new development and gas taxes. Money from the city's discretionary budget would be used.
The $64 million arena hosts the ECHL Thunder.
In 2004, Stockton officials approved a $113 million plan to build a new ballpark and arena as part of a downtown revitalization effort.
The arena is paired with a 5,000-seat ballpark. A 10,000-square-foot convention center and 150-room hotel are part of the mix. The hotel and convention center were privately funded. (Facilities, Financial, Ice Hockey, Professional Sports)
