Financing
The venue was privately financed.
Rogers Arena is home to the NHL Canucks. The NBA Grizzlies moved to Memphis for the 2001 season. The venue was known as GM Place, but Rogers bought the contract in 2010 for an undisclosed sum. The new deal is for 10 years. The GM agreement is reported for reference.
As part of its new deal, Rogers got the Canucks' telecommunication sponsorship rights previously owned by Telus.
GM remains a significant corporate sponsor of the Canucks, but company officials said the company wanted its advertising to be more product focused.
Signage for the Canucks is sold as part of a sponsorship package and is not broken out.
The venue features the Brew House Grill for members only. Annual membership is $3,060 a year or $74 per game. (Canada, Facilities, Financial, Ice Hockey, NHL, Professional Sports)
