Financing
United Sports Ventures and the city of Mobile split the $8.5 million cost of building the 6,000-seat stadium. The BayBears also signed a 20-year lease for the venue and will keep revenues from suite leases.
A public skating rink was added in spring 1998 in the front of the ballpark. United Sports Ventures also owns the East Coast Hockey League Mobile Mysticks.
