Financing
The $21 million arena was funded by a 50/50 partnership between the city and New Stadia Developments.

Seat licenses
The arena's 500 club seats were sold with seat licenses. Center ice club seats sell for $295 on five year leases and $325 on three year leases. The VIP section leases for $525 for five years and $575 for three years. Prices do not include tickets.
The Storm's new venue opened in 2000. The new arena is attached to a shopping mall. The space was taken for the arena after a major department store left town.
The new arena is struggling for revenues and managers say neighborhood construction and blocking of dates by the venue's hockey tenant are at least partially to blame.
The building did CAN$2 million in each of its first two years and was down to $1.5 million in 2003. Food and beverage sales were CAN$724,000 the first year and CAN$1 million the second year.
One of the venue's problems is special events. Fewer events have been held at the building and, as the hockey team advances in the post season, it has been blocking out a number of dates to ensure their availability. The team's lease gives it first refusal on any date. (Facilities, Ice Hockey, Professional Sports, Venue)
