Financing
The ballpark is the centerpiece of the 165-acre Bull Street development. Columbia committed $30 million toward building the ballpark, with Hardball Capital kicking in the other $7 million.
The Fireflies, formerly the Savannah Sand Gnats, moved into the ballpark in 2016.
Designed for baseball, concerts, soccer, football and a host of other activities, the venue will seat approximately 9,000 for sporting events and up to 15,000 for major outdoor concerts. With 16 luxury suites and a 7,000 square-foot Club Lounge, Spirit Communications Park is designed host a variety of events. The venue is open 365 days a year and will serve as a public park, with the 365-degree concourse representing 1/3 of a mile for walkers and joggers.
